About TASII

TASII is an independently operated Tasmanian web design and development business. Experience with websites began in 1999, followed by broader work across IT and a later return to web development using current web standards, modern application development, APIs, cloud services, security practices and modern AI tools. TASII is now focused full-time on building current-generation websites and online business systems.

Direct involvement

There is no sales-team handoff or layer of account management. The person who discusses the project remains directly involved in planning, design, development, testing and delivery. That keeps communication simple and decisions close to the work.

Small websites are welcome

A project does not need ecommerce, automation or AI to be worthwhile. TASII builds professional business websites for small and established businesses as well as larger online stores, booking systems, portals and custom applications. The amount of technology should match the job.

Current skills, long IT perspective

Web technology has changed substantially since the late 1990s. TASII combines long familiarity with computers, websites and hands-on IT problem-solving with current hands-on development. Projects are assessed on present requirements and built using current methods rather than relying on outdated approaches.

Plain commercial approach

Projects are quoted in writing with the agreed work, responsibilities and payment stages set out in plain English. Custom code created specifically for a client project is handed over to the client after the agreed project invoices are paid, subject to the licences applying to third-party and open-source components.

TASII is based in Exeter, Tasmania and works with clients throughout Tasmania and across Australia.
